I’m down to the last conflict I see in the Lux Patch Hub mod. It’s those damn 101288A1 – WWWMrkTempleDoorL01 and 101288A2 – WWWMrkTempleDoorL01 conflicts.
ra2phoenix, who maintains the Lux LOTD patches said:
this particular mesh, because they retexture it all for one of their areas, and smim/other related mods add a shape to the brazier, which borks all of the texturesets so they now have a copy of the vanilla one which is the safest way to preserve textureset shenanigans for maintaining some clefj stuff I straight up made hard texture edits to a copy of vanilla always assume you can’t control what meshes a user has that you’re changing textures on
I’m following most of this, but still unsure as to next steps, whether I should forward the path or not. More from ra2phoenix:
14
15
I thought it was a problem with lux messing with meshes and fixed it while working on the patch repath: copy of vanilla with 14
so tldr either version will work but you can delete it from lux if dbm-smim exists removing it for my next update which will happen after I do some more occlusion work in safehouse of course said updates are only on lux discord atm cause we can’t update the patch page
General Updates
Installed latest verison of Creation Kit Platform Extended v0.5-b143 and got it working. It crashed when loading interiors until I disabled the Vanilla Meshes and Textures LOOSE FOR TESTING mod I created. It didn’t like that. I posted on it on the CKPE Nexus page.
Installed Rally’s Upper Furniture, but finding the look too flat and clean for my taste—same issue with Cave Brazier mod. Just lacks depth.
Started comparing Shrubs Redone with Mari’s Flora. Verdict is still out, but leaning toward Shrubs Redone for the ones I’ve looked at.
Big realization today: I actually love a lot of vanilla textures—they’re gritty, dynamic, and full of character.
Revisited Vanilla Remastered (Ultimate) – Clutter, which upscales original textures. Really like the effect.
Redwaiscovered the full Vanilla Remastered series (all packed in BSA), so I duplicated and unpacked them all into new mods for texture testing.
Realizing I don’t always prefer popular retextures—vanilla has its own unique feel.
This is turning into a bigger texture testing project than expected, but I’m all in.
Installed Mods
High Poly Canticle Tree
A Canticle Tree
Skyrim 3D Driftwood 2K SSE Version
Shrubs Redone AIO 3K Quality
Amon Ysgramor Statue NOT Shiny – HD Textures 4k.
Conflict Resolution
Lux + Lux Patch Hub
Still making my way through Lux, and have to clear many of the plugins that the Lux Patch Hub added. Not counting the mod “Lux (patch hub) – LotD updated plugin (v6.8),” which I havent’ even activated yet, the ones I still have to do are:
Lux – Legacy of the Dragonborn Hall of Wonders patch
Modgrouped the following:
Lux – DBM_CC_GhostsoftheTribunalHOWPatch + Lux – LOTD Hall of Wonders patch
Additional Notes:
I found something that should have been included in the Lux + USSEP Patch: An acoustic space edit to Hod and Gerdur’s House – RiverwoodGerdursHouse [CELL:000133C7]. USSEP changes it from IntRoomWoodMediumAcousticSpace to IntRoomStoneMediumAcousticSpace but it’s not reflected in the patch.
I let ra2phoenix know in Discord, and carried over the edit to Dii – Conflict Resolution – Cell Settings.
