Developer’s Log: March 22, 2025

Picking things back up by running xEdit just to review any leftover conflicts.

Immediately I notice all the conflicts with synthesis.esp, a result of running the “Speed and Reach Fixes” Synthesis patch last week in order to fix NPCs constantly missing itself a result of the Prescision mod.

What I’m unclear on is how Synthesis patches fit into The Method of xEdit modlist building. I’ll ask on Discord, and for now, disable synthesis.esp and see if I can address any other conflicts.

Big Update

Installed Combat Gameplay Overhaul. Then ran the Nemesis patch.

It looks amazing in first person. Hallelujah.

But there are some conflicts with LOTD and a patch I made for ISC and Mysticism. I’ll address tomorrow.

Conflict Resolution

Mysticism

10 minutes into creating a patch for Mysticism and Immersive Sound – Compendium, I realized one exists, and I have it installed, but not activated. Ticked it on and rechecked xEdit, most of the conflicts disappeared. We’re good.

Adamant

Modgrouped Adamant + USCCP + CC Survival, who knows, I’m too over it to look too closely.

General Updates

• Installed Realistic Husky Sounds. There’s some conflicts between it and Audio Overhaul:
  • 00015BCF NPCDogIdleSniff — Volume is set way higher. I’m going to leave it.
  • 0004FA0B NPCDogPantLPMSD and 02002873 NPCDogHuskyPantLPM both ignore Audio Overhaul’s change to GNAM – Category (AudioCategorySFX “$Effects” [SNCT:000172A1]). On the mod’s comment page the author says it should be fine. I’m not advanced enough to really know the difference or why AOS changes it so, but I’m going to assume it’s for a reason and patch it.
    • Instead of creating a patch I’m going to copy the AOS records right into RealisticHuskySoundsSSE.esp and that’s that.
  • Modlisted Realistic Husky Sounds + Audio Overhaul Skyrim for the volume change I’m leaving.
• Installed Realistic Dog Sounds which applies Realistic Husky Sounds to all dogs.
  • Modgrouping Realistic Dog Sounds + Realistic Husky Sounds + AOS because all conflicts seem intentional.

• Installed Waterplants Improved by Pfuscher
• Installed 2k version of ElSopa HD – Realistic Dark Elf Urns SE
